SkinPen is an amazing treatment on its own, but it can be combined with topical treatments to further target skin concerns. Enhancements offered include the following:

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)

• Boosts Collagen and Enhances Healing

• Kills bacteria and inhibits bacterial growth, benefitting active breakouts

• Reduces Inflammation

PRX

• Increases collagen and elastin production

• Targets signs of aging, laxity, and pigment

 Before your SkinPen Treatment:

• 2 weeks Pre-Treatment

  • Botox and/or fillers within 2 weeks prior to IPL is not recommended.

• 1 week Pre-Treatment

  • Discontinue all topical products containing Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinols, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Hydroquinone or exfoliating products

  • Avoid antihistamine and inflammatory drugs one week prior to treatment. These negate the effects of the procedure. The body's histamine and inflammatory responses are needed post procedure.

• A topical numbing cream will be applied prior to your treatment to maximize comfort

• Your provider will perform the treatment across the entire face and neck

• You may feel a slight prickling sensation, however most patients find the treatment tolerable with numbing

• To enhance the healing process, Regenerating Skin Nectar will be applied post treatment

• Including numbing application and removal, the appointment will last about an hour and a half

To ensure the most optimal results, follow these aftercare instructions:

• Use only the skincare products provided or recommended by your provider for the first 24 hours. Avoid all other topical skin care products and makeup for the first 24 hours post-treatment, unless advised by your provider.

• Avoid exercise or any activities that cause sweating, increased heart rate, or heating of the skin including swimming, jacuzzi, sauna, hot yoga, or steam baths for 48 hours after treatment.

• Avoid touching your skin post treatment

• You may resume your home-care regimen when the skin is no longer flaking and peeling.

Plan for 24-48 hours of post treatment redness and mild swelling!

• Mild Redness lasting 24-48 hours

• Potential swelling

• Pin-point bleeding, crusting, or dryness
