Laser Hair Removal at Spa310
Hair Free for All Skin Tones
Our laser hair removal system uses two different wavelengths to permanently reduce hair for all skin tones.

Laser Hair Removal uses a focused beam of light to target pigment in the hair follicles, converting light into heat and damaging the follicle and slow or prevent future growth.
Hair color is an important factor in determining eligibility for laser hair removal. The light emitted from the laser is attracted to the dark pigment (melanin) in the hair follicle. Light, fine hair or gray, white and red colors may not have enough pigment to be successfully treated with the laser, while dark hair is treated most effectively. All laser hair removal services will start with a complimentary consultation so our aestheticians can help you decide if the service is right for you and your desired results.

It has been our experience that most of our patients are able to discontinue treatments, knowing they will probably need an occasional touch up, after an average of 6-8 treatments, providing that the recommended treatment schedule is followed. It is also important to understand that results may vary depending on the individual’s hair type, their stress levels, certain medications and different hormone levels. Keep in mind some individuals will require fewer treatments and some will require more treatments, depending on the desired results.

Laser Hair Removal can be performed anywhere on the body, as long has the hair contains pigment.
Laser Hair Removal does not treat vellus hair, or peach fuzz.
How to Prepare for your Laser Hair Removal Session
-
Before your Laser Hair Removal Treatment:
2 weeks Pre-Treatment
Avoid sun exposure (tans/burns/tanning beds/spray tans/self tanning)
Any sign of sun exposure will result in rescheduling of appointment
Use SPF 30+ daily
No waxing, tweezing, or electrolysis in the treatment area. Once the hair has been removed, we won’t be able to see the follicle in order to treat the area.
Day Before Treatment
You must shave the hair located in the treatment area 24 hours prior to the appointment.
If you cannot shave yourself, please advise the staff when scheduling the appointment to make sure the appropriate time is scheduled for the treatment. A $20 fee will be added to the appointment.
-
During your treatment, your laser technician will apply a controlled pulses of laser energy into the treatment area, heating up and damaging the hair follicles. While the laser is in use, your technician will also cool the skin to ensure maximum comfort.
Since not all hairs are actively growing at the same time, a single procedure will not treat all of the hair follicles in the area. As the follicles in the transitional and resting periods return to the active growth phase, you may notice some hair regrowth. This regrowth will become thinner and lighter with each subsequent treatment until there is little to no hair at all.
-
Care should be taken to prevent trauma to the treated area for the first 2 days following treatment. Shaving should be avoided post treatment for 24 hours.
A broad spectrum SPF 30+ should be used for any sun exposure during your entire treatment plan.
Tanning must be avoided 14 days prior, as well as 2 weeks post Laser Treatment.
Cold packs can be applied to ease any temporary discomfort.
Hair can take up to 3 full weeks to fall out, or in some cases, as little as a few days. On average, you should see hair falling out at the 7-10 day mark.
If you experience any adverse action, it is important that you contact us right away by phone (804-562-7880) or email (info@spa310.com)
