What to expect at your LumeccaPeak IPL Treatment:

Before your LumeccaPeak IPL Treatment:
2 weeks Pre-Treatment
Avoid sun exposure (tans/burns/tanning beds/spray tans/self tanning)
Use SPF 30+ daily
Botox and/or fillers within 2 weeks prior to IPL is not recommended.
1 week Pre-Treatment
Discontinue all topical products containing Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinols, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Hydroquinone or exfoliating products
2 days Pre-Treatment
Avoid, if possible, Ibuprofen and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories

Skin will be cleansed and analyzed, and protective eyewear will be applied
A cooling gel is applied to protect the skin and enhance comfort.
Your provider will deliver controlled pulses across the treatment area until the clinical endpoints are shown
You may feel warmth or a snapping sensation during treatment.
Skin Regenerating Nectar and Broad Spectrum SPF will be applied immediately post treatment

Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning, and excessive heat for 4–6 weeks. Do not use tanning beds.
Apply broad-spectrum SPF daily and reapply as directed. Wear protective clothing when outdoors.
Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, and active ingredients for 5–7 days or until cleared by your provider.
Do not pick, scratch, or scrub treated areas.
Makeup can be worn immediately post-treatment

Normal post-treatment responses include, but are not limited to the following:
You may experience a sunburned sensation immediately following treatment. Although rare, some light swelling is possible.
Darkening of freckles and other areas is normal. If this occurs, do not pick or exfoliate the areas. They will flake off or lighten on their own over the next week if on the face and over the next several weeks if on the body.
Mild redness or warmth
These reactions typically resolve within 24–72 hours, with pigment continuing to improve over time.
