Gordon Lewis, Jr., M.D., is a Virginia native and grew up in Richmond. He attended the University of Virginia, then received his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia (MCV). He completed his general surgery requirements at the University of Colorado before returning to Richmond to complete his plastic surgery training at MCV. He then completed his fellowship training in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at Duke University.

He is board certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Lewis is physically active in training for marathons and triathlons. He enjoys skiing, boating, running, and biking. He lives in Richmond with his wife and three children and participates in many of their activities. He is also a member of the Richmond Academy of Medicine and is very involved in the local medical community.
