Jamie Lewis
Hairstylist
Jamie Lewis is a native Detroiter.
But try not to hold that against him.
Moving to Richmond for Graduate school, Jamie started off writing TV Commercials. However, after only a few years in the biz he decided to, as he likes to put it, “Break up with advertising, because the relationship was going nowhere.”
Always interested in fashion and blessed with a genuine gift for visual flair, Jamie found he had a natural talent for styling hair. He even thought about going gay for a while to complete the look, but he can’t stand Celine Dion.
Since passing the Virginia State Board Exam for Cosmetology, Jamie’s skill-set has advanced rapidly. He has trained at several advanced academies, including the Jameson Shaw Salon in Atlanta, GA, and the Graham Webb Academy in Washington, DC. He has been an educator for TIGI and his work has appeared everywhere from RVA Magazine to various stages and album covers, from LA to the Plaza Bowl.
Jamie also has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, so feel free to ask him anything, hair or otherwise.
Just don’t get him talking about Hasselhoff. He won’t shut up!
